LILA is a language learning app that helps you study vocabulary and practice comprehension using your own video and audio content. Your privacy matters to us, so we keep things simple: we do not collect, store, or share your personal data.
All data you create in LILA — projects, subtitles, flashcards, and settings — is stored locally on your iPhone. It never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.
On supported devices, LILA uses Apple's on-device AI (FoundationModels framework) to generate grammar notes for flashcards. This processing happens entirely on your device. No text is sent to Apple servers or any third party for this feature.
LILA uses Apple's Translation framework to translate subtitles and flashcard content. Translation requests may be processed by Apple according to Apple's Privacy Policy.
The voice practice feature uses Apple's Speech framework (SFSpeechRecognizer). Audio may be sent to Apple's servers for transcription. Please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy for details.
LILA does not include any analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or third-party tracking. We do not know how you use the app.
LILA does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information.
LILA does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13.
